Lake Tower

I greatly dislike water. It's too shiny and reflective and really difficult to paint.

After the jellyfish, I decided to paint something with the fainter watercolor-y look.
I don't like it. Watercolors are too wet.
This way does have its advantages, though , like being able to detail things after you've put down some base color,whereas when you paint really dark you can't really add anything after.

I guess you could consider this cheating. It's mostly watercolor pencil, not actual watercolor paints. XD Details are easier that way.

I also attempted some color theory with the highlights and shadows on the tower and mountains. Looks decent enough.
