So I haven't really done anything at all on here in a while. I'm posting to say "Hi, I'm still here," and give a few excuses for why I haven't posted any new art for over half a year. (Yeah, it's actually been that long. O.o Sorry!)

First order of business *ahem*: The scanner has officially been deemed incompatible with our computers, so I have not been able to scan anything for months. I have three (maybe more?) pages of things I drew at school that I would love to upload, but because I have no way to digitize them, I can't. I have developed an affinity for drawing in blue pen, so even if we get a new scanner that sucks, you'll be able to see most of the pictures, I guarantee it.
Because of the lack of a scanner, I also can't color some of the things I've been meaning to color on GIMP since before I realized the scanner wasn't working. These are large projects that would have taken a while to do anyway, and even if I had been able to scan them I probably would have been too lazy to finish coloring them by now even though they are very cool ideas.

That brings me to Item Two *shuffles notes*: As I'm sure you probably all know by now, however many of you are still active after so long; I am extremely bad at keeping myself motivated. This is why the project I mentioned in my last journal is still not finished and in fact I've barely worked on it at all since I salvaged it. Eventually, it might get finished, but right now, I'm working on something else. And that is

Item three: I've gotten to writing again; an Elder Scrolls fanfiction. I hesitate to use that word because "fanfiction" has negative connotations - it tends to signal poorly written stories, often with large amounts of "romance" - and also because it tends to mean that the story includes many canon characters. My story is not like that. The characters are all original, the only reason I consider it a fan work is because I'm using the world and races of the Elder Scrolls games. It has no love interests in it at all (which may very well be a turnoff to some of you, but if I finish this story and people like it I'm willing to delve more deeply into one character's personal life). And I sincerely hope that it won't be poorly written, I'm trying very hard to write well, using many of the things I've learned from AP English classes.
But I'm sure you all don't care about that, you care about when I'll actually post things. For this story, I can safely say nothing will be posted until I've finished writing. I can also disappoint you by telling you that I'm probably not close to being finished, even though I've made a lot of progress. Perhaps halfway, depending on how good I end up being at character development and keeping the story interesting leading up to the end. I also tentatively plan to draw pictures. Which may end up bringing me back to items one and two, though I can easily scrap the picture idea if it ends up being too troublesome. Drawing would, however, give me a nice solid start to my next planned project. I have a lot of things planned.

Also, lots of school events going on for the rest of this month.

Expect not to see me again for a while unless we get a scanner soon. XD
